Monkeys

Monkeys are cool
They don't swim in pools
Monkeys are monkeys
They are not funky
Monkeys are like us
Sometimes the fuss
Monkeys are fair
So treat them with care

Nance From France

There once was a girl named Nance
who loved to dance in Paris, France.
She was very fond of lush, green plants and
frequently rode the Hovercraft to England
to visit her aunts.
Nance wanted to enhance her dance,
so she took a chance,
and wore glittering, star-spangled pants!
Nance danced beautifully and off stage she pranced;
leaving the audience applauding
and completely entranced.

My Horse

I rode my horse, it was a white horse
On the obstacle course
I harnessed up,
Giddyup

Galaxies

Galaxies
Gargantuan, energized
Spiraling, clustering, evolving
Galaxies are powerful.
Star-cities

Shadow

I look to the left, it dashes right
I look to the left it dashes left
"Come back, come back," I yell as I ran after it, "Come back, come back"
As I ran & ran it got farther & farther ahead
It ran to the park near the old oak tree
I finally had it
But then my shadow came out to play
And slowly my shadow melted away

I'd Love for You to Play with Me

I'd love a game.
This will be my house.
I'd love for you to play with me.
I love you.
Play with me.

Choo Choo

Choo choo goes the choo choo train.
Choo choo goes the choo choo train.
They went around the world.
A person went out.
Two people went out
Then everyone went out
all by themselves.

Tears

Every year, around about now,
I remember his expressionless face,
his limp body lying on the floor.
I look back and remember
the good times and the bad,
that we spent together all those years ago.
I don't seem to be able to remember
his ability to be friendly,
all I can think of is him in his death bed.
My heart breaks every time I look back
and the grief often gets too much for Mum,
and I just sit, withdrawn in a corner.
I cried a lot after it happened,
but now it seems that I just cry for the sake of it.
Just for the tears.

Feelings

It's hard for me
To find the words
To say how much I care
But I hope you know that in my heart
The feeling's always there
I love you

The Dancer

The dancer prepares for class
she puts on her shoes
she ties her hair with a sash
and starts stretching to the blues

The dancer is now ready to go
she has stretched and twisted from her head to her toes
and now it is time to get down to business

She starts up her music
and her eyes fill with joy
the sounds are acoustic
and her body moves with ease like a toy

The dance is done
and it's time to go
until tomorrow at one
when she can put on another show
